The goal of this module is to provide basic information about Aseptic Processing Areas and their importance in manufacturing and testing sterile pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products.
Recommended Prerequisites Learning Objectives 5011AP-LO1: Define the purpose of an aseptic processing area (APA). 5011AP-LO2: Identify the elements of an APA such as the: 5011AP-LO3: Identify examples of how an APA can help to achieve product safety and purity in terms of the ECCA (eliminate, contain, control, avoid) model. 5011AP-LO4: Distinguish between good and poor personnel practices in order to keep APA elements working correctly and avoid product contamination. 5011AP-LO5: Given examples from an APA, identify items or situations that could compromise the safety, identity, strength (or potency), purity, and quality of the products. |
